Based on a 2024 literature review, the Long Term Care Review Committee of the Coroner's Office identified Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) among older persons in Ontario as a significant and impactful concern. This information is intended to help healthcare professionals, policymakers, and service providers in recognizing and addressing IPV within older populations, including long-term care homes.

En mars, un féminicide a été confirmé par les médias. Un autre cas n’a pas encore été confirmé, dans l’attente d’une enquête policière approfondie et de la mise en accusation. Depuis le 26 novembre 2025, 8 femmes ont été victimes de féminicides en Ontario.

In March, one femicide death was confirmed through media reports. Another case remains unconfirmed pending further police investigation and the laying of criminal charges. Since November 26, 2025, eight women have been reported to have lost their lives in femicide deaths in Ontario.

Depuis le 26 novembre 2025, sept féminicides ont été confirmés dans la province. Aucun autre cas de féminicide n’a été confirmé en février. Deux cas non confirmés continuent de faire l’objet d’un suivi dans l’attente d’une enquête policière approfondie et de la divulgation des informations.
