Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre is an accredited violence against women agency working to end gender-based violence by providing accessible, compassionate, and best-practice- modeled programs and services inclusive of shelter, counselling, housing support, and prevention through a support system that inspires hope, creates safety, and fosters resilience. Our services provide a range of options and entry points, helping women gain the right kind of support at the right time in their journey. The Role

We have an exciting opportunity within our Operations & Quality Assurance team for a full-time Human Resources & Administrative Assistant.  Working collaboratively with the Cornerstone management team, the Human Resources & Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support for all Human Resources and Quality Assurance functions within the agency.  Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the HR & Administrative Assistant will demonstrate excellence through following legislative and established best practices while embracing the mission, vision and values of the agency.  This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support key Human Resources functions related to recruitment, onboarding and internal file management
  • Play a key role in meeting and maintaining Quality Assurance standards
  • Provide administrative support to promote the smooth running of the organization
  • Assist in the coordination of IT needs & system

Required Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in Business Administration/Human Resources
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in the non-profit sector
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work in a confidential, detail-oriented environment. Diligence to ensure that work is completed to the highest standard, accurately and efficiently. Able to prioritize work based on deadlines and importance.
  • Proactive in seeking guidance when working beyond current knowledge or experience
  • Identifying issues within area or responsibility, recommending solutions and implementing recommendations
  • Interpersonal skills to work with staff, managers, volunteers and clients
  • Excellent communication skills
