As a young women’s movement, YWCA is committed to elevating the voices of young women in global gender equality work.The advice and information you’ll find here is drawn from a multitude of resources written by policy and advocacy experts. This toolkit is specifically to advocate for gender equality and/ or other issues affecting women, young women, girls and people of marginalised genders in Australia. However, the mechanisms contained within also illuminate a framework to meaningfully and effectively engage in advocacy priorities.

Rainbow Seniors are part of the 2SLGBTQI+ community. This infographic shares actions that service providers can take when supporting Rainbow Seniors. In the face of personal and professional obstacles during the COVID-19 pandemic, VAW staff was resourceful and resilient, deeply committed to advocating for and meeting the needs of their clients and their teams. This report dives deep and offers up some recommendations. 

Emerging Stronger was prepared on behalf of the Ontario Association of Interval and
Transition Houses (OAITH), a coalition of first stage emergency women’s shelters,
second stage housing organizations and community-based gender-based violence (GBV)
organizations who work towards ending all forms of violence and oppression against
all women, girls and gender-diverse individuals. OAITH achieves this through training,
education, advocacy, public awareness and government relations.
