OAITH is a provincial umbrella organization representing Gender-Based Violence shelters, transitional housing and community-based services and programs. We support our members and ally organizations through Research, Education, Advocacy and Prevention to end all forms of GBV.

OAITH raises awareness of gender-based violence throughout Ontario by actively disseminating information within our networks and elevating the voices of our members to create opportunities for broader understanding of the movement to end GBV.
Research:
OAITH works with a range of academic partners to develop and disseminate research that informs the prevention of gender-based violence and how groups, services, systems and policy makers respond to gender-based violence and advance gender-equity.
Training:
OAITH is a leader in developing social justice knowledge and creating modalities of learning that nurture and develop the skills required to support survivors of gender-based violence, transform systems and to break down systemic barriers that will create social change.
