Job Type: Full-time, 35 hours per week. Contract position from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027 with possibility of extension.

Position Summary
The Toronto Region Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services (MCCSS) GBV/VAW Networks are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Support professional. This role provides critical administrative and coordination support to the co-chairs of the seven regional GBV networks. The position plays an important enabling function in strengthening communication and operational effectiveness within and across networks, while also working in collaboration with the Housing Systems Advocate role to advance system learning, sector development, cross-sector collaboration and integrated responses to gender-based violence.

This position is supervised and housed at Abrigo Centre, an MCCSS-funded community organization providing GBV services and works across the following Networks; (Violence Against Women Coordinating Committee (VAWCC), Service System Planning Table (SSPT), 2-Transitional Housing and Support Program Networks (THSP Networks), Violence Against Women-Child Aid Societies Advisory (CAS-VAW Advisory), Counselling Network, Gender Based Violence Shelter Network (GBVSN).

Core Functions of the Role:
The Gender-Based Violence Network Facilitator will help ensure that network tables operate efficiently, remain well-coordinated, help drive network projects and initiatives forward to successful outcomes, contributes to collaboration, accountability, and sector growth.

Key Responsibilities:
• Working with the Network co-chairs, provide administrative support to up to seven (7) GBV Networks, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking meeting minutes
• Manage network communications, including email correspondence, maintaining contact lists, and disseminating important information to all member agencies
• Attend network meetings (in person and virtual), moderates the technical aspects of the virtual or in person meetings
• Schedule meetings, reserves meeting space, arranges use of equipment as required
• Create and disseminated surveys
• Assist in organizing and coordinating network events, workshops, and training sessions
• Maintain an organized filing system for all network-related documents and materials
• Collaborate with network members and stakeholders to ensure timely follow-up on tasks and initiatives
• Help drive network projects and initiatives such as “Technology Hub & Action Plans” forward to successful outcomes
• Support the co-chairs in preparing workplans, reports, and development of resources for the networks
• Handle basic financial administration, such as processing invoices, tracking expenses, and preparing financial summaries
• Assist in the preparation of presentations, documents, and other materials needed for meetings or events
• Provide support for special projects as needed

Communications & Information Sharing:
• Manage network communications, including group correspondence and information distribution
• Disseminate updates, resources, and announcements across member agencies through weekly e-blast newsletter
• Support cross-network information flow to encourage alignment and shared learning

Cross-Sector Collaboration & Systems Support:
• Work in active coordination with the Housing Systems Advocate to support alignment between GBV networks and housing system initiatives
• Support administrative tracking and coordination of cross-sector meetings and joint initiatives
• Assist with documentation and follow-up related to systems-level barriers, solutions, and emerging practices
• Advance SSPT priorities to meet deadlines and achieve project and initiative goals
• Contribute to the shared vision and mandate of partner networks by providing thoughtful input, feedback, and leadership

Learning, Sector Growth & Knowledge Development Support:
• Support the coordination of learning sessions and knowledge-sharing activities across networks
• Help organize materials that contribute to sector capacity building and practice development
• Assist in documenting promising practices, emerging issues, and collaborative solutions

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree or diploma in a relevant field
• Experience in or knowledge of the gender-based violence (GBV) sector or related social services is an asset
• Knowledge of community resources and services available to GBV survivors
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a non-profit, social services, or government setting
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with diverse stakeholders in a multicultural environment
• Ability to work under pressure, respond to changing priorities and function as a highly efficient assistant
