Salary:                                             $86,365 - $101,194 annually (M11) plus comprehensive benefits package

Location:                                         Head Office - 87 Elm Street, Toronto, (Hybrid work option possible)

QUALIFICATIONS

·       Equivalent to a Masters degree in Social Work, Adult Education or other relevant discipline with over ten years directly related experience including experience at a senior management level;

·       Alignment with YWCA Toronto’s mission, vision and values including an understanding of and commitment to intersectional feminism  

·       Exceptional knowledge of violence against women shelters, homeless shelters and clinical services programs

·       Advanced experience in managerial, leadership, supervision, and organizational skills.

·       Demonstrated supervisory experience in a unionized environment is required.

·       Knowledge of another culture and /or a second language would be an asset. 

·       Advanced ability to research and analyze complex concepts; ability to think and plan strategically and execute effectively. 

·       Exceptional knowledge and competency working with diverse groups from an anti-oppressive and trauma informed framework. Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills are essential. 

·       Previous experience in a feminist social service environment would be an asset.

·       Computer competency in a Microsoft Office Windows environment required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       As a member of the senior management team, the Director of Shelter and Clinical Services assists in setting the operational vision and planning of YWCA Toronto in the context of the Association’s Mission Statement;

·       Identifies the needs of the communities served and develops shelter and clinical services programs that respond to those needs through changes to existing programs, through the development of new programs and/or through the expansion into new areas;

·       Identifies both governmental and non-governmental funding sources;

·       Directs and negotiates all new government purchase service agreements, grant and funding applications and renewals of current agreements for all existing departmental programs;

·       Ensures that all departmental programs are evaluated on an annual basis and that all required reporting to government funders is completed on schedule;

·       Directs the development of short and long-term shelter and clinical services program plans in accordance with the overall goals and objectives and strategic plan of the Association;

·       Collaborates in the development of strategic, comprehensive and cost-effective public relations, marketing, and fundraising plans to support the shelter and clinical services programs of the Association with the Director of Advocacy and Communications, the Director of Philanthropy, and relevant program managers;

·       Contributes to advocacy initiatives to improve shelter and clinical services programs for women, girls and gender diverse people;

·       Ensures departmental staff adherence to the policies and procedures of the YWCA's Administrative Manual.
