This year resolve to make a difference
Are you looking for a way to make a difference in the lives of women and girls?
YWCA Toronto, the city's largest organization by, for, and about women, has a way for you to keep your resolution. We are currently recruiting women to join our Board of Directors and /or Board Committees for the coming year (2019 - 2020 ).
YWCA Toronto is looking for a variety of dedicated women who will apply their lived experience and diversity of skills, interests and commitment to issues such as childcare, economic independence/security and eliminating violence. We are particularly interested in women and young women who represent the diversity of Toronto including but not limited to age, ability, racial and ethno-specific identities. We are also looking for women who have legal or philanthropic experience to enrich our Board expertise in those areas.
Interested applicants are invited to attend an information session on January 29, 2019, at 87 Elm Street, Toronto, from 6pm to 8pm. Members of the Nominating Committee and some current Board members will be there to explain responsibilities and answer questions. Light refreshments will be served.
An application form is available and is due by February 4, 2019.
YWCA Toronto is a leader in transforming the lives of marginalized and disadvantaged women and girls in Toronto. We strive to accomplish this vision by being a strong advocate for women and girls, providing transformative services in the areas of employment support and training, housing options and shelters, leadership development programs for girls and key supports for women and children who have experienced violence.
