Part Time Bilingual Project Resource Coordinator

Position type: Contract, part-time (14-21 hours per week, based on work load)

YWCA Canada is seeking a Bilingual Project Resource Coordinator to work in our Toronto office. This position reports to the Manager of Programs and Projects and works collaboratively with other staff on the team. The Project Resource Coordinator is responsible for supporting the National Office and Member Associations in the successful delivery of national projects.


Project Coordination

  • Coordinate the production and distribution of project materials and information to project partners.
  • Research best practices, community engagement opportunities, innovative project ideas, and other project resources to support project delivery.
  • Support YWCA Member Associations in reaching project deliverables.
  • Assist the Manager of Programs and Projects in the management of budgetary and reporting requirements for project funders and partners.
  • Other coordination tasks as needed.

Communications & Language Support

  • Review and edit translated resources.
  • Draft and send communications in French and English to project partners.
  • Assist in conference calls and meetings in both official languages, including interpretation when needed. Record and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Support social media and promotional efforts for events


  • Bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in project coordination, not-for-profit environment preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Written and oral fluency in both official languages is required. Selected candidates will be required to perform a written test. 
  • Strong budgeting and basic accounting skills an asset.
  • Ability to translate an asset.

This contract position pays $21 per hour. Duration of contract is until 31 March 2019 with possibility of extension.
