Demand more funding for Sisters in Spirit research and advocacy

The federal government refuses to continue research funding for Sisters in Spirit, which documents the murder and disappearance of Aboriginal women in Canada. A recent announcement of $10 million for work on the issue is also disgracefully small and raises serious concerns for the Native Women's Association of Canada and women's equality groups across the country. Oppose proposed law to blame and punish asylum seekers

Bill C-49, the new so-called federal "anti-human smuggling" law endangers women refugees, their children and women trafficked into Canada.
