Ontario's Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010 On Hold

ONCA still on hold

There are no changes to the update we issued in October 2015. Ontario’s Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010 (ONCA) will not take effect for at least two years. The government has promised to give at least 24 months notice to the nonprofit sector before the ONCA takes effect.

Most organizations should not make changes to comply with the ONCA yet, as possible amendments, if passed, will change some details.

Meanwhile, you can use CLEO’s tools to learn about the ONCA.
