March 8th is International Women's Day!

Join women across the world to celebrate women's equality rights victories!  Work in your community for gains still left to win. The IWD bannerstruggle for women's liberation throughout the world is not finished. Women and girls still face enormous oppression, poverty and violence both across the world and here in Canada.

At the same time, there continue to be inspiring stories of women and girls everywhere confronting and winning the challenges that they face, not just because of their gender, but also as a result of racism, colonialism, economic inequality and all forms of discrimination.

International Women's Day calls us to challenge the issues that deny women's human rights, while celebrating women who have won gains in the past and our sisters who continue to move us forward today.
